Laphroaig was among the winners at the Scottish Whisky Awards which were presented at a glittering ceremony hosted by comedian Des Clarke in Glasgow on Tuesday evening.
The iconic 10 year old expression took gold in the ‘single malt under 12 year old’ category, making it a double after winning the same award in 2019.
A total of 19 winners were announced at the third annual awards, which aim to identify the best whisky businesses, distilleries, and whiskies produced in Scotland. The categories saw Scottish producers and whiskies take home prizes for everything from Single Grain Whisky of the Year to Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year.
Overall, 53 companies and 167 Scotch whisky products were finalists at the awards, with the expert judging panel sampling over 200 Scotch whiskies in a broad range of categories.
Mike MacKenzie, Laphroaig brand manager at Edrington UK, said: "I am delighted that Laphroaig has been recognised for outstanding quality again. A fantastic evening and well done to all the winners!"
