At the heart of this is our team of brand ambassadors who travel the country training and educating our customers on the history of our portfolio, the industry as a whole and how to create the perfect serves.
Our brand ambassadors are passionate about our bringing the whisky and spirits category to life through expertly mixed drinks and a rich level of specialism, which continue to introduce our brands to a whole new audience.

Together our brand ambassadors cover all areas of our premium portfolio - from Scotch whisky and American bourbon to mixables and Japanese craft spirits.
Aaron Masonde, The Macallan
With over ten years’ experience working in some of the world’s most iconic bars, Aaron is responsible for leading development and brand education on The Macallan within the on-trade.
Previously bar manager at Oblix, Aaron used his flair and creativity to create unique and innovative drinks experiences, as well as leading the team to receive many awards including top ten “Best International Bar” at Tales of The Cocktail awards.
Aaron says: “I’ve always had a passion for spirits, especially Scotch. I’m always on the search for new expressions to try and can’t believe that I’m lucky enough to work in an area that I’m genuinely passionate about.”
Jamie Campbell, Brugal 1888
With over 10 years’ experience in the hospitality industry and a background in cocktail bartending and consultancy, Jamie has spent several years working with luxury spirit portfolios as a brand builder and ambassador. Drawing upon his experiences across all departments and sectors of the industry, he has a strong passion for growing and developing brand identities, using his culinary and cocktail skills to create a welcoming and engaging environment
Now as UK Brand Ambassador for Brugal 1888, Jamie will lead training and education for consumers and the trade, with an aim to increase and grow appreciation of the super-premium Rum category.
The Whisky Specialists
The Whisky Specialists are central to our position as experts in the whisky and spirits industry. With over 70 years' collective experience of premium bartending, the team dedicates its time to supporting our customers by training bar staff on how to create and serve the perfect mixed drinks, as well as educating them on our extensive brand portfolio and the history of the whisky and spirits industry.
In 2018/19, the team delivered almost 750 training courses to over 8500 bar tenders, educating our customers on our brands and the whisky and spirits category.
James Bowker, House of Suntory
An experienced and talented mixologist, James cut his cocktail-making teeth at The Jekyll and Hyde in Birmingham. Following a five-year stint as head bartender at The Edgbaston Boutique Hotel, where he curated an impressive selection of Japanese whiskies, James took an opportunity to move to Japan to indulge his love for the culture. Whilst apprenticing at the famous Bar High Five in Tokyo, he developed his knowledge of local cocktail techniques and craft spirits and on his return to the UK, set up two leading venues in his home city of Birmingham, both showcasing Japanese-influenced food and drinks.
Now our House of Suntory brand ambassador, James drives and inspires passion for our premium Japanese portfolio among our customers, creating bespoke experiences to best showcase the brands' potential and ever-growing consumer appeal.
Nicole Sykes, Maker's Mark
Award-winning bartender and drinks expert Nicole Sykes is our UK Maker’s Mark Diplomat.
Nicole brings over five years’ experience to the brand, working in some of the world’s most iconic bars in London and Edinburgh including Lyaness, Voodoo Rooms and most recently at Satan’s Whiskers, one of the world’s leading independent cocktail bars. Nicole has also received numerous awards and accolades for her creativity and commitment to quality.
Her passion for handmade cocktails and American whisky makes her the perfect person to share the unique, hand-crafted story of Maker’s Mark with bartenders and bourbon enthusiasts across the UK.
